To celebrate the launch of a brand new duelling rollercoaster at LEGOLAND Windsor, Figment were asked to bring to life the vibrant world of Roxie Racer and the Minifigure Speedway. This work expanded upon our previous Figment project, The Great Lego Race – existing within the same universe.

Working closely with LEGO and the Merlin Magic Making team, Figment produced content for every aspect of the ride. As well as the queue line and loading bay, our remit included script writing and storyboarding, recording voiceovers and commissioning the ride music and sound effects.  The key element was the Split Stop, where guests get to find out which of the two teams they will be racing with – Team Legends or Team All Stars. With a possible 10 team captains to model, rig, and animate, these characters had to be highly entertaining, informative, and memorable to visitors. We were also asked to create 3 marketing videos to promote the ride ahead of opening for their socials.

Through vibrant animation, compelling storytelling, and immersive sound design, visitors are transported to a world of excitement and adventure. Are you ready to race?
