We were tasked to find a way to effectively depict the destruction of London in the 17th century as seen from a room in the Lord Mayor’s House.  We achieved this with UHD monitors embedded behind set elements with overlaid projection, and integrating with lighting control and smoke effects. 

At the touch of a button, controlled by an actor who performs to the room, the interior wall of the Lord Mayor’s House crumbles to reveal a massive burning cityscape as the fire tears through St Paul’s and the surrounding buildings. The use of powerful 5.1 surround sound matches the animation to bring this piece of vital London history to life.
