A new major exhibition in the National Maritime Museum in Falmouth, ‘Pirates – Explore Beneath the Surface’ is an immersive journey through more than 300 years of pirate history. Figment was commissioned by Design Map to create a variety of AV content to enhance the experience. From projecting footage from some of the worlds favourite swashbuckling movies onto 5 metre high sails, to voiceover and sound design for a recreation of the much-loved novel Treasure Island, the exhibition explores how popular culture has shaped how we think of pirates today and dives beneath the surface to unearth the harsh and terrifying truth.
