Figment designed and produced several bespoke installations at Sea Life, Manchester, including the Turtle Beach Intro Show and Tyler the Talking Turtle.

Turtle Beach is a live, presenter-driven show. It features a bespoke software system to run the show, with 6 projectors mapping various parts of the room with bespoke content including: a moving mother turtle sculpted out of sand on the themed beach, baby turtles scuttling across the beach, the lights of 3D hotels in the distance, ocean waves full of bioluminescent plankton and a giant moon overlooking the whole scene.

Tyler the Talking Turtle was designed with a completely new style of 3D projection mapping. A transparent touchscreen allows visitors to ask Tyler questions, then he comes alive to tell them the answers. We worked with a European theming contractor who produced the physical model of Tyler from our CAD files and with a separately appointed AV hardware contractor to deliver the final installation.
